What are News Feeds?
News feeds are a method for two news servers to share messages with each other.
Using a news feed you can set up two news servers that mirror each other to provide
a more reliable service for your users, or use one to take a copy of your favourite
Usenet newsgroups to your own server to keep a permanent searchable archive of messages.
MPNews support for News Feeds
MPNews provides full support for both push and pull ("suck") NNTP news feeds. In
addition, it also supports on-demand pulling, allowing you to offer a full range
of newsgroups to your users without having to waste bandwidth or disk space on newsgroups
that are never read.
As part of the web administration interface, MPNews makes it as simple to set up
a news feed as if you were just subscribing to the groups in a standard newsreader.
